The RESOLvD R&D project is one of the many efforts of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program in order to lead the transition to renewable energy sources. In this case, the focus is on improving the efficiency and hosting capacity of distribution networks, in a context of highly distributed renewable generation.

Wattius developed a Battery Management System for a hybrid storage solution for CITCEA, a technology transfer center based in the UPC (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya). With this solution, a high-voltage lead-acid battery can be safely monitored and controlled, all integrated with our Master BMS that interfaces with Power Electronics and Cloud services.

For this project, 20 BMS Slave are used to monitor a 240 V battery system. The architecture allows easy operability, maintainability and more importantly flexibility and scalability.
